System characteristics

1、The temperature resistance is good and the temperature can reach 150°C;

2、The pressure resistance is strong and the preferred gelling agent has good compressive strength after water absorption, while the compressive strength is higher than 10 MPa;

3、The leak-proof property is good and the gelling agent can not only convert the free water into the bound water, but also the soft particles formed by the water absorption can quickly realize the temporary plugging;

4、The density and viscosity are well adjustable and the rheology is good, while the pumpability is strong;

5、It has strong inhibition and the anti-expansion rate of reach up to 93.8%, which can effectively prevent reservoir water damage and particle migration damage;

6、The preferred drainage agent can make the gas-liquid surface tension less than 20 mN/m and it has good drainage, which can effectively prevent water lock from occurring;

7、It has good compatibility, which can satisfy the whole workover requirement of 3000m ~4000m gas well;

8、The corrosion is small ,while it can completely meet the requirements of corrosion control standard for workover fluids.

9、The reservoir has good protection and the recovery rate of fluid permeability in the well is above 85%;

10、It has good performance of safety and environmental protection.


Application situation

Since 2007, the hydrogel completion fluid/workover fluid system has been used to plug nearly 20 wells in Pinghu and Tianwaitian low pressure gas reservoirs (pressure coefficient 0.4-1.0) in Shanghai, which has achieved good results.
