System characteristics

1、It has high solubility and wide range of density adjustment;

2、The viscosity and crystallization point are low;

3、The aqueous solution is weakly alkaline and it has low corrosivity;

4、It has a certain scale and scale removal ability: HFM formate completion fluid can dissolve a variety of scale salts (Especially sulfate scale);

5、It has good compatibility with polymers: The formate and polymers that used to control viscosity and reduce water loss have good compatibility, while the formate can improve the temperature resistance of polymers;

6、It is conducive to the protection of the reservoir: The formate completion fluid and the formation fluid have good compatibility, while the core permeability recovery value is greater than 90%, which is conducive to the protection of the reservoir;

7、The biological toxicity is small: Both the sodium formate and potassium formate are all non-toxic;

Application situation

It has been successfully applied in BZ25-1A oilfield, JZ20-2 oilfield with high reservoir pressure in the Bohai area and four high temperature wells in the Gulf of Mexico.
